Kahrs launches the Coastal range of wood floors

A Kahrs product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Mar 12, 2010

Kahrs has launched a range of wood floors designed to create beach style interiors; the Coastal range includes five one-strip Oak floors.

Each floor in the range features a narrow board format, bevelled edges and a brushed surface.

A matt lacquer pre-finish provides durability and easy care.

Measuring 1,759x127x14 mm, all floors from the Coastal range have a single plank appearance.

Each floor offers abespoke surface treatment: Seaweed is medium brown with white hues; Quay is medium brown with brown hues; Driftwood is soft grey; Seashell pearly white; and Barnacle has a natural oak tone with white detail.

Floors are crafted from sustainable American White Oak and are prefinished with solvent-free lacquers.

Like all Kahrs floors, they have a multi-layered construction, which uses hardwood down to the joint only and fast-growing spruce and pine below.

As well as using the raw material in the most eco-friendly way, the construction also makes the floors 75 per cent more stable.

They can be refurbished in exactly the same way as a solid floor and are offered with a 30-year guarantee.

Other complementary flooring ranges include Kahrs Sand Collection; a range of one, two and three strip wood floors with white matt lacquer prefinishes, and Kahrs Marina Collection; a selection of one strip wood floors with a distinct shipsdeck patterned finish and nature oil prefinish.
