Last Call For Painter Of The Year Entries

Final nominations are now being accepted for Johnstone's and Leyland Painter of the Year Awards 2004, the painting and decorating industry's most prestigious annual competition.

The closing date for the painting and decorating industry's most prestigious annual competition is Friday 1 December.

The awards are open to the whole industry and the only criteria is that entrants have used either Johnstone's or Leyland branded products on their project.

Nominations can be put forward by completing a brief form available from your local representative.

Johnstone's and Leyland Painter of the Year Awards 2004 will be held in March 2005 at the famous De Vere Belfry Hotel - home to one of golf's oldest courses.

Now in its 22nd year, the annual awards celebrate the UK's very best work in the painting and decorating industry for contracts completed during the 2004 in commercial, industrial, refurbishment and special interest categories, along with the coveted Supreme Winner title.

Competition organiser, Jonathan Metcalf from Johnstone's and Leyland said: "We've had a fantastic number of entries this year and it's been noticeable that the standard of work is as high as ever.

There's still just enough time for new entries to be considered by our judging panel though, so get them in now! "The profile and prestige attached to Painter of the Year has made a measurable difference to past winners and even nominated companies have benefited from their association with the competition.

We'd encourage any contractor that has worked on a project they are particularly of to put it forward for judging.

After all, if you're not in it you can't win it!" Entry criteria for Painter of the Year is straightforward.

Work is judged purely on merit and everyone has an equal chance of winning - regardless of the size of the contract.

The judging process will take place in the early part of next year.
