Kawneer has launched the superb AA201 Unitised Curtain Walling System, representing a huge step forward in terms of system design.

Building on its growing reputation for innovation, Kawneer, Europe's largest manufacturer and supplier of leading architectural aluminium systems, has launched the superb AA201 Unitised Curtain Walling System, representing a huge step forward in terms of system design.

Zone drained and pressure equalised for greater efficiency, the AA201 has been specifically designed to meet the demands of modern construction in terms of high performance, fast installation, simplified fabrication and superior performance and design flexibility.

Providing the distinct advantage of unitised assembly within carefully controlled factory conditions, the application of the AA201 allows for fast track construction on site whilst ensuring levels of quality control and slim-line design remain consistent.

This results in a system that can be adapted to suit the needs of any construction project, it can also benefit from being installed in occupied buildings with minimal disturbance.

Ideal for most building applications the AA201 has been fully tested and certified in accordance with the relevant BS EN and CWCT Curtain Wall Standards.

Also featuring an exclusive, high performance IsoPort thermal break the system fully meets the requirements of Parts L and J (Scotland) of the Building Regulations and has also been seismic tested in the USA.

The AA201 curtain wall system is available in over 130 standard and 31 metallic Kawneer Permacover' polyester powder paint finishes.

A comprehensive range of Kawneer Permanodic standard and coloured anodised finishes are also available, all covered by Kawneer's standard guarantee, providing unlimited versatility in design.

Flexibility of design is further reflected through the system's ability to accommodate a variety of spandrel infill materials, including glass, granite and metal panels, whilst two or four sided structural silicone glazing, fully capped or horizontal caps are also available, providing either a vertical or horizontal cap option dependant on the particular specification requirements.

Maria Morgan, Senior Product Manager at Kawneer commented: "The Kawneer AA201 Unitised curtain wall system represents the very pinnacle of system design".

"By providing a solution that is as flexible and adaptable as the Kawneer AA201 with its bespoke design capabilities, the specific needs of the customer can be easily met without compromising the individual requirements of any project." "In reality, Unitised Curtain Walling can deliver significant cost and quality benefits on any size of building, be it a 30-storey office tower or a two-storey school or hospital building".

"This means that a unitised approach to facade construction can be appropriate across the whole building spectrum and should be considered for many more building types and projects than is currently the case".

As a major sponsor and contributor of the CWCT's training strategy, all Kawneer products are fabricated and installed by a network of trained authorised Kawneer dealers, offering national support at a local level - a unique service to the industry.
