The hunt for the industry's future in architectural design is now on, as leading wall and cladding manufacturer Kalzip offer one lucky winner the opportunity of a lifetime by launching the first-ever Kalzip European Student Award 2007 The awards have been introduced in order to promote the development of new ideas and concepts for building envelope design, whilst providing the industry's future innovators with the chance to showcase their talents to their peers and future employers, as well as some of Europe's most esteemed architects

What's more, all of the winners will receive wide-spread international media coverage and with a first prize of euro1500 and a four-month work placement at the Vienna office of leading architectural firm Coop Himmelb(l)au, the European Kalzip Student Awards 2007 will provide all entrants with a fantastic opportunity to launch their careers.
The competition is open to universities, colleges and design schools from across the continent and students are invited to submit proposals on the following topics: facades, roofs, hybrid materials and optimisation of existing systems.
