K2 is launching a new aluminium roof system that's set to become a benchmark for quality and performance.

The new system is based on the engineering fundamentals of the existing K2 system and capped by a high quality thermally - broken aluminium exterior.

The exterior of the new system benefits from quality castings and extrusions which have been powder coated in the UK to provide better quality, added weathering and greater visual appeal.

The boss end, crestings and finials are completely new castings while the ridge, valley and glazing bar top caps are aluminium extrusions which cap a pvc-u sleeve to provide a consistent fit and an important thermal break.

There is also the option of either the existing pvc-u or new aluminium end caps.

The fixings and accessories including the ridge joints, jack rafter brackets and box gutters of the new product share that of the standard pvc-u system as they are proven across a wide range of applications and climatic conditions.

In addition, the existing fixings provide product familiarity for fabricators and installers so the transition from the existing system to the new aluminium one is a relatively easy and simplistic exercise.

Charles Fox, sales director at K2 is no stranger in selling aluminium conservatory roof systems and comments: "Aluminium has always had a part to play in the market and we feel that our new system is far more simplistic and easy to fabricate and install".

"In addition it provides our fabricators with a lower stockholding thanks to the shared components and accessories".

Initial research also backs up Charles' claim and has shown that this new system is arguably the fastest aluminium system in the market to both fabricate and install, evidence of K2's investment in the development of a very customer focused product.

There has already been considerable interest in this new system by leading fabricators and key installers and K2 expect this to be backed up by a strong sales performance.

Charles concludes: "We have continued to develop our product offering thanks to our thirst for innovation and perhaps more importantly to help develop our customers".

"Conservatory systems companies need to be seen to be acting on behalf of their customers and this new aluminium system proves we are doing just that." K2 Conservatory Roof Systems is one of the major players in the conservatory sector with a proven history that dates back to 1999.

The company has repeatedly proven to be a leader in product development, customer service and marketing support.

K2's considerable achievements also extend to sister company, K2 USA and the in-house portal frame division, K2 Architectural Systems, both of which continue to prosper.
