K2 aluminium roof vent is proven performer

K2 has developed an impressive aluminium roof vent that has been thoroughly tested and proven in the UK, Europe and in the demanding North American climate.

When the UK's climate throws wind and rain at a conservatory roof, installers and homeowners are often worried about its performance and in particular the ability of any roof vent to keep mother nature out.

The K2 roof vent can be glazed in specialist performance glass such as Celsius or in a variety of 25mm and 35mm polycarbonate options.

Attempts have been made in the past to incorporate ventilation within the conservatory roof components with little success and it is now widely accepted that the best means for ventilation is with an effective roof vent.

K2's latest roof vent incorporates many of the philosophies of modern day windows with respect to weathering and performance.

PVC-u windows are designed to enable effective drainage should water enter through the glazing gaskets and this key design feature has been successfully incorporated into the advanced roof vent.

The K2 roof vent has been fully tested to over 300 pascals with no recorded air or water leakage, equivalent to rainfall of nearly 5 inches per hour.

This is testament to product design, quality of the components and the fabrication expertise used to manufacture the product.

This product has also been designed to compliment the sculptured appearance of modern day windows, doors and conservatory roofs resulting in a completely uniform look.

The aluminium sash is matched with a PVC-u frame to eliminate the risk of condensation and to improve product performance.

Other key features of the roof vent sash include a concealed hinge to allow sash removal after glazing and dedicated aluminium reinforcement for the secure fixing of the opening mechanism.

The vent is available either glazed or un-glazed in various foiled finishes including mahogany, golden oak and rosewood and is available in standard and blue white.
