Access to Cheam School Sports Hall in Newbury is now safer and easier for all users thanks to a newly built ramp and handrailing which features Slope fittings from the best selling Kee Klamp range.

Cheam School is one of the oldest co-educational boarding prep schools in the country with a long list of alumni including royalty and politicians.

Over 350 pupils attend the school, and with matches played twice a week, the Sports Hall is a busy hub of school life, playing host to a large volume of pupils and visitors on a regular basis.

Keen to act in accordance with the Disability and Discrimination Act accessibility requirements, the school specified the construction of the new access ramp to serve the building.

The new ramp will not only provide safe and easy access for disabled users, but ensure a reliable handhold for all pupils and visitors to the Sports Hall.

Secured within a low-level, curving brick wall, the handrailing structure extends for over 20 metres alongside the ramp.
