Kee Klamp has extended its recently launched Kee Klamp 500 Range.

Reading-based Kee Klamp has extended its recently launched Kee Klamp 500 Range.

This development will ensure that builders, contractors and specifiers can satisfy the non-discriminatory access requirements of the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and Building Regulations Pt.M:2004 even more easily when designing and constructing balustrading and handrailing for commercial and public buildings.

Included in the new range are two fittings, complete with an integral weatherproof cap, for connection either to single or dual handrails.

These fittings have the versatility to allow the handrails to be installed at any required angle.

A further new fitting offers a midpoint connection to dual handrails, when required.

Kee Klamp has also introduced a new one piece 90o corner elbow fitting.

Designed and developed with versatility, ease of assembly and speed of installation in mind, the Kee Klamp 500 Range now features a total of twelve fittings.

Ideal for use in creating new structures, the range can also be used as a retrofit solution, because it includes an offset fitting which allows a new handrail to be added onto an existing structure of appropriate size.

When and where required, the 500 Range can be easily augmented with fittings from the established Kee Klamp fittings range to create a complete, cost-effective answer to DDA requirements.

All fittings in the 500 Range can be powder coated in a choice of RAL colours to meet the visibility and "not cold-to-the-touch" requirements of the DDA.

Under the terms of the DDA, all commercial and public building owners are obliged to provide non-discriminatory balustrading and handrailing on stairways and ramps.

The Building Regulations recommend an outside diameter tube size for such installations of between 40mm-45mm.

The new 500 Range of Kee Klamp fittings is specifically designed to give a smooth handrail with size 7 tube (outside diameter 42.4mm) and is therefore compatible with the DDA recommendations, unlike many other fitting ranges currently on the market.

As well as its newly extended fittings range, Kee Klamp also provides tubular solutions for roof edge protection with its popular KeeGuard system, and for interior or exterior balustrading applications with its Keenect and Keeline systems.

Kee Klamp is certified to BS EN ISO 9001 and is recognised as an Investor In People.
