Kee Klamp Fittings: The Building Blocks For Safety
Kee Klamp has supplied fittings from its extensive range to create the impressive guardrailing structures at the new LEGOLAND Deutschland.
As part of a refurbishment project to accommodate recent growth at the school, a new classroom block has been constructed.
Safety was a priority concern on the project.
This combined with the creation of an attractive interior for the new building were the two main criteria.
The Keenect balustrading system was versatile enough to meet both requirements.
Installed alongside the staircase inside the school, the system incorporates attractive perspex in-fill panels, hinged and lockable gates at the top and bottom and special height extended bays to maximise safety.
The Keenect system is fully modular, utilising exclusive patented parts comprising handrail connectors and post top joints.
A handrail connector is inserted into the handrail whenever a change in direction is required.
Any combination of elbows can be attached to this connector forming a strong, sleek, smooth joint and allowing very tight bends.
The racing green colour chosen for the system at St Ann's School perfectly complements the interior design scheme.
Contractors on the project were Diamond Build.
The client on the project was the London Borough of Ealing.
In addition to the options used at St Ann's School, the Keenect system can be supplied with an extensive range of additional in-fills and a comprehensive selection of colours to suit different tastes and interior or exterior requirements.
Kee Klamp 's Keenect system meets the relevant sections in standards, BS8300, BS6180, BS6399 Part 1 and the Building Regulations.
Kee Klamp offers a full technical advice and design support service.
