Kee Klamp has launched a new toeboard component to its market leading KeeGuard edge protection system.

Roof edge protection specialist Kee Klamp has launched a new toeboard component to its market leading KeeGuard edge protection system.

To ease the installation of rooftop toeboards, an aluminium extrusion has been designed that can now be supplied with the KeeGuard system.

Designed to fit at the foot of the main upright, it can be easily slid into place thanks to its special grooved design, then bolted into position to a Kee Klamp Type 69 fitting at the base of the upright post.

Quicker and simpler to install than an ordinary toeboard, the KeeGuard toeboard will act as a protective barrier helping to prevent the fall of materials and equipment from the roof.

Its use as an integral part of the KeeGuard system will also ensure that contractors and building owners comply fully with the latest health and safety regulations covering working at height.

Being free-standing, the KeeGuard system can be used for roof edge fall protection, walkway demarcation, stairwell and open lift shaft fall protection and other safety applications.

It can be supplied in pre-fabricated kit form with the new toeboard and minimum components.

All assemblies are designed for use with 42.4 and 48.3 o/d diameter tubing and standard fittings from the Kee Klamp range to provide a complete and easy to assemble solution.

The KeeGuard system is ideal for new or existing roof structures, and versatile enough to adapt to most roof edge profiles and changes in levels.

Sections can be easily taken down and re-erected as necessary, should existing buildings or roof areas be extended or altered in any way.

Because the system is free-standing, there is no roof membrane penetration during installation, minimising the risk of leakage or damage to the roof covering.

All areas in contact with the roof also feature a protective anti-slip rubber pad, fitted as standard.

As well as the KeeGuard system and the established Kee Klamp fittings range, the company also provides solutions for working at height with the Kee Anchor free standing, modular man anchor system and the Kee Dome skylight guardrail system.
