Kee Klamp introduces new fittings
Kee Klamp has added innovative new products to three key ranges to help reduce installation time and complexity for contractors and improve final structure aesthetics.
Kee Klamp has added innovative new products to three key ranges to help reduce installation time and complexity for contractors and improve final structure aesthetics.
The company has extended its popular Kee Klamp fittings range for tubular structure construction and its Kee Lite range of lightweight, corrosion-resistant fittings.
Another development sees the expansion of the Kee Klamp 500 series for balustrading and handrailing projects which comply with the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and Building Regulations Pt.M:2004.
The new 265 Kee Klamp fitting is designed for use when palm fixing guardrailing structures or where balustrading is fixed to walls, parapets, steps and ramps.
This fitting features an offset barrel to enable easy clearance of overhangs and cappings.
Like all fittings within the versatile Kee Klamp range, it incorporates integral socket screws which lock it securely onto its tube to give an excellent slip load performance.
The L62-6 product is new to the Kee Lite range of light-weight, corrosion resistant fittings.
Manufactured from a high grade Aluminium Silicon Magnesium alloy, this vertical socket is designed for use when fixing upright tubes, with an O/D of 33.7mm, for guardrailing and balustrade into brickwork, concrete or other solid bases.
Even though much lighter than a conventional fitting, the set-screw connection to the tube and screw fixing to the base will ensure the structure remains strong and durable throughout its lifetime.
With their bright aluminium finish and unique contoured design, Kee Lite fittings also provide an aesthetically attractive finish.
The adjustable 555 top fitting extends the 500 series, used to create new and retrofit handrailing structures.
It allows the handrail to be adjusted to cope with angle variations or changes when run alongside ramps and stairs.
The 555 fitting is a capped fitting for in-line handrails.
The 500 series can be easily augmented with fittings from the established Kee Klamp fittings range to create a complete, cost-effective answer to DDA requirements, and all fittings can be powder coated in a choice of RAL colours to satisfy visibility and "not cold-to-the-touch" criteria.
