New Anchor solutions from Kee Safety

Kee Safety introduce the Kee Anchor range of Class B, E and supports for Class C roof anchor devices for the personal protection of workers carrying out roof level maintenance operations.

The Kee Anchor range comprises the Weightanka, Accessanka and Wireanka products and is designed for use on roofs where there are no permanent guardrails or other anchor devices.

Independently tested by the NEL (National Engineering Laboratory), each product conforms to EN 795, BS 7883 and ISO 14567 and is CE approved to the requirements of the PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) Directive.

Weightanka is a portable, deadweight anchor system.

It features a central pedestal which allows the attachment of a safety harness and lanyard and raises the height at which the arrest force is applied.

This reduces the distance that the anchor device moves during a fall arrest event.

It is also the first Class E anchor device to be approved for use on all roof surfaces when wet and also for use downhill on metal clad roofs.

Accessanka is a self contained portable anchor device for workers requiring rope access to the side of a building.

It does not penetrate the roof, is suitable for most flat roof surfaces and requires no attachment to structural members.

It is used in conjunction with the company's Weightanka and together the systems provide an internally force balanced solution.

Designed for single person use, Accessanka has been tested for two users plus equipment up to a working load limit of 200kg in case of rescue.

It has been designed for easy transportation and installation, being of modular construction, with no part over 25kg or 2 metres.

Wireanka is a system of deadweight anchor devices designed to support Class C horizontal flexible safety lines to BS EN 795.

It is intended for use on flat roofs, in temporary situations, or where it is preferable that penetration of the roof surface be avoided.

For fall arrest purposes the system is designed for the attachment of one user.

However, for restraint purposes up to three users can be attached at any one time.
