Leading adhesive specialists, Kenyon Group, have pioneered an innovative new way to bond softwood or EPS cores / forms.

Kenyon Group, one of the UK's leading adhesive specialists, have pioneered an innovative new way to bond softwood or EPS cores / forms to mould boxes and large steel moulds for the manufacture of pre-cast windows, doors, wiring channels, electrical boxes and decorative concrete items, with an environmentally friendly adhesive system The concept incorporates Techbond shaped hot melt adhesives and applicators which have already been proven within the pre-cast concrete, decorative and architectural industries

The adhesives are used to bond the softwood or EPS cores / forms into position in moulding boxes or to larger steel moulds.

This holds the EPS in place while the concrete is poured and when set, the core/forms are easily removed leaving the finished product in tact.

Kenyon Group believe that this technique is a more cost effective and efficient way of producing the moulds as production time is reduced and it is easier to clean away the residue for the next mould.

Ian Kenyon, MD of Kenyon Group said: "This concept is new to the industry, and we believe it will be highly successful".

"The UK are behind other countries in the pre-cast concrete manufacturing process and Kenyon Group are now offering a time saving and cost-effective way to speed up production, which is also environmentally friendly.".
