Kemtile one stop shop for hygienic facilities
Kemtile offer both ceramic and seamless flooring with Ucrete and Kagetec.
One of the biggest dynamics in the food industry is the growth of farm based manufacturing units.
For the farmer they give added value and profit and for the consumer they offer a fresher, traceable source, farm assured and often organic option.
While large manufacturing bakeries are closing in towns and cities hundreds of smaller manufacturing units are opening up in the countryside.
Be warned it is not as easy as it may seem.
The stringent hygiene regulations that apply to a 20, 000 square metre milk processing plant also apply to a 200 square metre on farm dairy.
The day to day maintenance of these standards is mostly a matter of training and management but the creation of a facility in which those hygiene standards can be maintained needs careful planning.
Kemtile Limited have over 25 years experience supplying hygienic floor and wall finishes to the food, drink and pharmaceutical industries.
They understand the food industry, appreciate its specific constraints and are very familiar with the rules and regulation.
In this area Kemtile and the materials producers who supply them are leaders in their field.
Kemtile not only supply the flooring systems they can also prepare your sub-floor, design and install the drainage and supply the wall finishes.
In fact Kemtile can work as principal contractor on the refurbishment of existing farm buildings or the building of a completely new unit.
All Kemtile operatives are trained and regularly updated on issues of hygiene and heath and safety.
They all carry CSCS cards and Food Industry Passports and Kemtile are registered under the Safecontractor accreditation scheme.
What is more important; they all know the rules and understand why they must work to them.
Kemtile often work on one production line in a food manufacturing facility whilst other production lines still operate.
They also work to tight time schedules in shutdown periods.
In the words of a satisfied customer- "Kemtile treat my premises as a food factory and not a building site", Peter Collis, Princes Soft Drinks.
So look no further.
Kemtile is your one stop shop for building a hygienic manufacturing facility.
Kemtile offer both ceramic and seamless flooring with Ucrete and Kagetec.
Ucrete is the original Polyurethane Concrete, developed more than 30 years ago in Europe as the answer to the most demanding environments in industry.
Ucrete can only be installed by a small number of registered contractors and Kemtile Limited are the longest established licensed Ucrete applicator.
Kagetec ceramic flooring systems are engineered in Germany by Von Koetsveld and Grimberg Specifically for use in demanding environments.
All five Kagetec systems produce a similar hygienic finish with flush filled 2mm wide joints.
They can be used with specially designed, 18mm thick, hexagon or rectangular tiles which are vibration fixed into an epoxy bedding.
The resulting floor is extremely hardwearing and resistant to mechanical and thermal shock.
As a general rule where existing floors have the correct falls to drains then Kemtile would recommend using Ucrete seamless flooring as it is cheaper.
If the existing floor is flat then they would recommend Kagetec ceramic flooring as falls can be incorporated into the work making that the less expensive option.
Because Kemtile offer both ceramic and seamless flooring they are one of only a handful of companies who can advise you on the best system for your facility without bias.
