Keway Aluminium brightens school development
Recently completed school project for Keway Aluminium has provided a bright and welcoming first school development in the North London district of Barnet.
Of particular interest is the three storey cascading curtain wall which was used over the pharmacy which was a particular challenge both in design and installation.
In order keep sight lines to a minimum without the need for a heavy internal structure the curtain wall mullions were increased in depth to maintain the strength required without compromising glazed areas of facade.
Built by Eric Wright Construction the installation was completed using aluminium profiles from Smart Systems based in Yatton.
The system was fabricated, installed and glazed on site by Keway.
On the cascading curtain wall element of the installation Wayne Douglas of Keway commented ,"We were very cautious during installation of the curtain walling over the pharmacy as we knew that one mistake would lead to potential leakage problems and I'm happy to say that we, and the client, are delighted with the installation".
