Kingspan Insulated Panels has developed its range of insulated panels with the addition of LongSpan, a wider range of panels that removes the need for secondary steelwork, designed to address the construction industry's ever increasing concern with issues of speed, quality and life cycles costs.

The LongSpan KS1000LS system is proven to help reduce build time by removing an entire phase of construction, whilst still improving appearance and performance.

The Kingspan solution means safe, aesthetically pleasing construction without recourse to the secondary support frame industry professionals have become accustomed to.

Kingspan's revolutionary range of wider insulated panels can span up to 8.2m in width, allowing more lettable floor space and cleaner lines both inside and outside of a building.

As the range does not require secondary steel support, speed of construction is guaranteed and optimum usage of space will challenge professionals to build new, innovative structures.

Crucially, the LongSpan KS1000LS system has underlined its Firesafe credentials with notable test successes.

The most recent resulting in the KS1000LS panels passing the Loss Prevention Certification Board's (LPCB's) demanding LPS1181 fire test criteria.

The core thickness of the KS1000LS ranges from 80mm to 140mm in increments of 20mm, with standard lengths from 1.8m to 8.2m although options for up to 16m are available.

The panels are available in four profiles for maximum visual impact - MR (micro-rib), EB (Eurobox), MM (mini micro) and WV (wave), offering designers a range of options to optimise the appearance of their buildings.

Physically the panels are immune to mould, fungi, mildew and vermin and comply with all relevant Building Regulations.

Said Alan Murtagh, Divisional Marketing Manager for Kingspan Insulated Panels: "The LongSpanT KS1000LS system reduces a large proportion of on site labour due to the elimination of a secondary steel support.

The wider insulated panels offer a very competitive, high performance package in terms of safety, manual handling and speedy installation.".
