Government Pressure On Air Tightness Testing
Kingspan Insulated Panels has welcomed a tougher approach by the Government on Part L2 air pressure testing for buildings.
The composite panel system gives the appearance of a traditional tiled roof, but is far quicker, safer and more efficient to install.
At Sutton Quays EBL has opted for an "anthracite" finish to give the appearance of traditional tiles.
EBL has matched the composite panels with traditional details, such as finials, ridge tiles and flashings, and designed its own roof light detail.
The KS1000RT panels are a pre-engineered composite panel system, combining the external finish, insulation layer and lining sheet in one, giving the underside a finish that enables the loft space to be used either for storage or as additional office space.
Handover of the first building of the prestigious office development is expected in July 2005, with the other buildings being completed later in 2005/2006.
