Flat-to-pitch roof for mosque
Watershed (Roofing) contractors using a Kingspan modular decking system at the Markazi Mosque in Dewsbury, Yorkshire.
Watershed (Roofing) contractors are seen nearing completion of a new 2,400m2 natural slate roof for the Markazi Mosque in the Yorkshire market town of Dewsbury using a Kingspan modular decking system instead of separate sarking boards, felt and insulation - to help streamline the whole £200,000 flat-to-pitch conversion project designed by Archi-Structure of Baildon Kingspan's KS1000 TS insulated tile and slate support panel system speeds up the pitched roofing programme by a half in comparison to traditional built-up insulation, sarking and felt

Government Pressure On Air Tightness Testing
Kingspan Insulated Panels has welcomed a tougher approach by the Government on Part L2 air pressure testing for buildings.
The Part L2-compliant pre-engineered Kingspan system provides a structural platform onto which the timber roof battens are directly fitted, therefore streamlining both the pre-construction design and on-site work stages.
The Kingspan system has a 15-micron-thick white polyester-coated inner steel shell, meaning no need to line the ceiling, which is fire safety rated as a Class 1 surface for spread of flame to BS 476: Part 7: 1987 and LPCB certification.
The Plastisol-coated steel top-weather shell is specially deep-profiled for high structural strength, requiring just a single-fix installation to provide a fully weather tight roof.
