Government Pressure On Air Tightness Testing
Kingspan Insulated Panels has welcomed a tougher approach by the Government on Part L2 air pressure testing for buildings.
The TNT warehouse was constructed using Gazeley's unique Fast Track programme and procurement, designed to provide fully operational facilities within twelve weeks.
A key element is an established supplier chain, to ensure materials and services are delivered on time and to budget, a target which Kingspan and its comprehensive distribution network is well placed to meet.
FK Roofing undertook roofing and cladding of the building, and Kingspan's RW KS1000RW through fixed roof panels were specified for the roofs, offering reliable thermal performance and high-speed installation, one of the main requirements of the build.
The turnkey bespoke building was completed in less than half the time taken by traditional building procurement methods.
According to Steve Hall of FK Roofing, the relationship with the manufacturers has been invaluable.
"Kingspan has pulled out all the stops delivery wise," he states, "which allowed the smooth, on schedule operation of the build process.".
