Government Pressure On Air Tightness Testing
Kingspan Insulated Panels has welcomed a tougher approach by the Government on Part L2 air pressure testing for buildings.
This means that the time spent working at height is reduced, helping to improve site safety and comply with the Working at Height Regulations.
Manufactured from polycarbonate and classed as non-fragile by the HSE, the system can be installed quickly whilst precise factory-based manufacturing techniques ensures optimal weatherproofing performance.
The Kingspan Upstand Rooflight also offers excellent light transmittance and diffusion characteristics to maximise levels of daylight, with a UV protected outer layer on both sides for increased durability.
The product is clear in finish and is available in panel lengths from 1.8m to 6m.
With a thermal performance of 1.84 W/mK there will be no undue effect on heating costs or Building Regulations compliance.
Furthermore, Kingspan Upstand Rooflight is fully recyclable, thereby minimising the environmental impact at end-of-life.
