Kingspan Century announce two major acquisitions, Pace Timber Systems and Potton, making it the largest timber frame manufacturer in the UK.

Kingspan Century has announced two major acquisitions, Pace Timber Systems and Potton, making it the largest timber frame manufacturer in the UK.

As part of the move, the company has been re-branded Kingspan Off-Site , which combines the innovative product solutions and extensive technical expertise of both Kingspan Century and Pace Timber Systems, and has emerged as the new market leader for the industry.

Meanwhile, Potton, which is the long established leader of the timber frame self build sector, will retain its strong branding and position in the marketplace.

Gilbert McCarthy, director of Kingspan Off-Site , commented: "This has been a natural progression for Kingspan Century and a very positive move for the timber frame sector, as well as the wider construction industry".

"With the collective skills, expertise and capacity of Kingspan Century and Pace, Kingspan Off-Site will have the ability to really drive forward change and modernisation in the building industry through the development of innovative building solutions and effective partnership working".

Kingspan Off-Site's timber based building solutions now include the innovative SIPs based TEK Building System and the Optima advanced closed panel building solution, as well as a range of high performance timber frame systems.

These building solutions, which have been specifically developed to offer complete design flexibility, fast build times, improved build accuracy, excellent airtightness and very high levels of thermal and acoustic efficiency, can be used to construct both low and medium rise residential and non-residential buildings.

Gilbert McCarthy continued: "As well as building on its range of high performance timber based building systems, Kingspan Off-Site is also currently widening its portfolio of building solutions with the development of an innovative light gauge steel system, which will be available mid-way through the year".

"When introduced, this system will enable the construction of buildings up to ten storeys high, which will take Kingspan Off-Site into the high rise sector".
