Kingspan Interlink launch high-performance rear-ventilated Rainscreen Cladding System available in wide choice of metal finishes including aluminium, zinc, steel and copper.

Kingspan Interlink has launched a high-performance rear-ventilated Rainscreen Cladding System which is available in a wide choice of metal finishes including aluminium, zinc, steel and copper.

To provide architects with design freedom a number of panel formats are available, including flat, curved and faceted, as well as an almost unlimited colour range.

Water ingress is an age-old problem for building owners that still occurs all too frequently.

The penetration of rain can not only affect interior finishes and materials but it can also damage the structure of the walls themselves.

The concept of rainscreen cladding follows the common premise of modern engineering that it is far more beneficial to work with nature than try to resist its influences.

Rear-ventilated cladding brings a relatively simple solution to the problem of keeping rainwater out of building structures, as well as minimising the effects of condensation in high-humidity environments.

Its primary features are:.

- careful integration of ventilated cavities that use the pressure effects of the wind to dissipate energy of driven rainwater.

- properly designed drainage paths that collect and direct the water away from the cavity.

Kingspan Interlink's Rainscreen Cladding System is suitable for steel, concrete or timber main structures, and can be applied to a new building or one which is being refurbished.

For ease and speed of installation, the cladding can be fitted with the Kingframe Architectural Facade System, a non-loadbearing, rapid build, through-wall panel solution.

Kingframe is also suitable for steel or concrete framed buildings up to any height, and can cut installation times by weeks or even months compared to blockwork or stick-build.

Kingspan Interlink can also provide a full range of high quality specialist components that are compatible with the rainscreen systems.

From curved flashings and bullnoses to rainwater products and aperture units, Kingspan Interlink's extensive offering enables designers to create a highly individual, energy efficient building.
