Kingspan now largest UK timber frame manufacturer
Kingspan Century announce two major acquisitions, Pace Timber Systems and Potton, making it the largest timber frame manufacturer in the UK.
The new low carbon technologies, comprising a ventilation system; a ventilation and heating system; and a solar thermal system will support the portfolio of building systems currently available.
The technologies have been designed to reduce the carbon emissions created through everyday life and to complement the Kingspan Off-Site objective of building a high quality, well insulated building fabric in the first instance.
The Kingspan Ventilation System is a fully integrated heat recovery ventilation system designed specifically for the needs of each individual house type.
Comprising the Kingspan Air Recovery system and the LindabSafe pre-sealed air duct, the system recycles up to 88% of heat which would normally be lost with conventional extractors.
The Kingspan Ventilation and Heating System can provide a cost effective alternative heating system in low energy housing to radiators and under floor heating in houses by integrating the boiler and ventilation system to offer air heating.
In an airtight house a ventilation system is essential, this option allows the ventilation infrastructure to also heat the air in the house through the use of an integrated heater coil.
Kingspan Solar Thermal systems are custom designed to offer maximum flexibility and meet hot water demands through the use of the Kingspan Solar Thermomax Vacuum Tube Solar Collector, which harness solar energy, working effectively throughout the year.
