Kingspan Insulation announce that Thermataper tapered roofing systems are now available with pre-mitred boards.

Dubbed 'roof in a box', this is a major step forward in improving site productivity and reducing site waste Pre-mitred to individual specifications, boards arrive ready labelled, and come with a set of full set of installation instructions, so are easy to use

By eliminating the need for cutting boards on site, installation time and labour cost is significantly reduced as is the amount of waste material produced on site.

Typically, waste would have been taken to local land fill sites, but instead it is recycled at Kingspan Insulation's Pembridge production facility and re-used as a raw material in another industry.

The pre-mitred boards allow flexible designs, whether perimeter gutters, valley gutters, or any other outlet and are ideal for either new-build or refurbishment projects.

A free roof survey is available for refurbishment projects and all roof plans are supplied on waterproof, tear-proof paper.

The entire Kingspan Thermataper range has been designed to ensure low heat loss through the roof, as well as preventing the formation of water ponds (the most common cause of failure of flat roofs) by providing effective roof falls for both new and existing flat roofs.

Each solution in the range has been specifically developed for use beneath a particular waterproofing membrane.

With LPC/FM approval available, specifiers, designers and end users can be assured that Thermataper Systems can provide the best possible fire performance.

An independent study by highly respected Quantity Surveyors, Davis, Langdon and Everest, has singled out tapered insulation as the most cost effective water shedding option for warm deck flat roofing applications, yielding savings of up to 21%.

Kingspan Insulation has updated their quick guide to flat roofing to include further details on the pre-mitred boards.
