Sound signalling specialist Klaxon Signals has added to its Nexus range of sounders and beacons with a new subset of high efficiency LED products.

Designed for applications where low current consumption, reliability and synchronised beacon flashing are important, the new LED beacons and sounder-beacons can be powered by a 10-60V DC supply, making them particularly suitable for fire and security applications.

With a high output and weatherproofing to IP66, the beacons can be installed in almost any application.

The sounder-beacon variant can be operated in static or flashing mode, and a choice of sound outputs means there is a model to overcome most levels of background noise.

All Nexus connections are made to the base, with the head "clicking" into place, ensuring fast and reliable installation.

Additionally, the head is fixed by quarter turn fasteners rather than four individual screws, resulting in further time saving and accurate seal compression for weatherproofing.

Products in the Nexus range are available as either a sounder or sounder-beacon.

The combination of powerful sound output and high efficiency beacons makes the latter option a very powerful audio-visual tool.

Units are available in high output 105dB, 110dB and 120dB variants with a choice of red, amber, clear, green or blue lenses.
