Kingspan Pollution Control has launched a new maintenance division called TEKSERV, which will cover sewage treatment plants, pumping stations and rainwater recycling equipment.

Kingspan Pollution Control, which is part of leading building products company Kingspan Group PLC, has launched a new maintenance division called TEKSERV, which will cover sewage treatment plants, pumping stations and rainwater recycling equipment.

TEKSERV unites the individual maintenance schemes previously offered by Kingspan Pollution Control-owned manufacturers - Klargester and Titan Pollution Control- into a larger, centralised service.

Numbers of customer service staff have been increased from three to nine, and full-time service engineers strategically placed around the country ensure the technical field support is second to none.

TEKSERV engineers will service sewage treatment plants, pumping stations and rainwater recycling equipment made by any manufacturer, and contracts can be renewed on an annual basis.

There are four levels of service - bronze, silver, gold and platinum.

They all include routine maintenance visits, advice on tankering intervals for sewage treatment plants, and priority site attendance.

Some have no call-out charges and include free of charge replacement spare parts.

Any sewage treatment plant owner wishing to take out a Service Contract with TEKSERV should arrange for a Post-Installation Inspection to ensure the product has been installed in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

TEKSERV engineers are ideally placed to carry out such inspections, since they represent the manufacturers of leading sewage solutions brands.

Mike Butler, Service Manager of TEKSERV, said: "Large plants may need servicing up to four times a year, while an annual maintenance visit may be sufficient for smaller models.

It is essential that the correct maintenance checks are carried out, since the majority of sewage treatment plants that are not regularly maintained will fail to satisfy the Environment Agency within a year.
