A Klargester product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Sep 1, 2010

Klargester, the off-mains drainage solutions company, has launched an information website for builders and installers putting in septic tanks or sewage treatment plants.

The Ask Klargester website offers advise ranging from when and how to install an off-mains drainage system, to applying for planning permission, to choosing a product that is fit-for-purpose.

Ask Klargester covers the latest regulations, as well as details about applying for a permit to discharge under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010 - Second Phase (known as EPP2).

The site explains where and how home owners with small domestic drainage solutions may be granted an exemption under EPP2 from needing a permit.

Visitors to the site can download a library of resources, including a complete guide to EPP2; details on how to perform a percolation test; and technical bulletins (Building Regs and EN12566).
