Midas has introduced a new software solution from Knowledge Online which will greatly facilitate the collation and presentation of health and safety reports on its retail operations.

Midas Retail, one of the UK's fastest growing, independent providers of construction and property services, ramps up health and safety reporting with new web based technology E-SAFE 100 allows Midas to produce KPI health and safety reports at any time, using the most up to date information gathered directly from the field, without the administrative burden of manually pulling together all of the inspection details over a set period

Craig Currie, Retail Director at Midas said: 'We already have an impeccable record on safety performance but clients are demanding the level of transparency that web-based technology can provide.

In the current climate and with the corporate manslaughter bill looming we need to be able to demonstrate to our retail sector clients, who include Asda, MandS and Sainsbury's, that we have best of class health and safety reporting processes in place.' The award-winning software from Knowledge Online allows reports and audits to be logged and recorded onto a database.

The system provides a way to flag up and instantly resolve issues, thereby helping to prevent accidents occurring.

This process is instant.

If something is wrong then it sends an alert up the chain so that all relevant parties are immediately aware of the problem and it can be resolved.

Currie continues 'Now that we are using E-SAFE 100, the next step is to speed up the inspection process by introducing PDAs which is in line with our commitment to continuous improvement through innovation".

The benefits of using E-SAFE 100 are:.

* Standardisation in data collection, allowing the business to report on KPIs that are based on like for like comparisons, across multiple sites.

* Automated alerts to contractors for issues raised against those responsible parties.

* Ability to run automated reports on contractor performance allowing accurate benchmarking of contractors.
