Knauf Drywall has supplied a dry floor screed to maximise the efficiency of underfloor heating systems in London apartments.

A flooring solution was required to optimise the sustainability of each individual underfloor heating systems (UFH).

Brio Dry Floor Screed from Knauf Drywall ensures that UFH installations use minimum energy to maintain comfortable temperatures.

Knauf Brio Dry Floor Screed is a lightweight but strong gypsum fibreboard.

It offers an alternative to traditional wet screeds with fast installation times.

It is suitable for new and refurbished residential or commercial buildings.

The 23mm Knauf Brio panels are laid directly over UFH systems.

The UFH systems in College Place consists of 14mm pipes in diffuser plates set into 25mm EHD polystyrene.

Also within the project, Knauf Drywall's Easybuild and Silent Spacesaver partition systems provide acoustic insulation.

High performance plasterboard from Knauf Drywall also provides fire resistant encasements for the structural steel framework.
