Kommerling seals over 5000 metres of concrete slab

Kommerling UK Rallithane 850 polyurethane sealant has been used to seal over 5000 metres of concrete slab at Nisa's new national distribution centre in Scunthorpe.

Tony Barwell, depot manager for Fender BCS, Kommerling's distributor for the product, said "There were two key criteria when selecting the sealant for this project; ease of application and a sealant that maintains flexibility after application.

The Rallithane 850 is a one component, moisture curing, polyurethane sealant than can be applied manually.

Once applied it will then absorb the inevitable concrete movement that results from thermal change throughout a typical year of English weather - ground temperatures can range from -5 degrees C to 30 degrees C".

National sales manager for Kommerling, Neil Smith; said "Nisa's main distribution centre for the entire country, with 100s of vehicles using the site every day, the concrete slab needs to be durable and reliable.

This sealant is the ideal solution for such a demanding location.
