GD920 is a new 2 part silicone sealant for use in the manufacture of insulating glass with an exposed edge seal.
It has a high modulus, good UV stability and temperature resistance.
This is coupled with its excellent adhesion to a range of substrates making it the ideal choice for manufacturers of insulating glass for final applications such as conservatories, where the edge seal will not be covered.
Another highlight from Kommerling is its new range of products for the direct bonding of insulating glass units to window sashes.
Koglaze S and Kodiglaze P open up a whole new spectrum of opportunities for window design.
With this product Kommerling provides both the edge seal and the bonding media from one source, thus ensuring a complete system is of an assured quality.
There have also been further developments in the resin systems, Kodiphone and Kodiguard.
These low viscosity, highly transparent acrylic resins will now combine ease of use with excellent cured properties and UV resistance.
Kodiphone resins exhibit very high levels of sound attenuation whilst the Kodiguard resins have additional properties that make them ideal for applications where safety and security are paramount.
Both products will be available in 180kg drums and will be packaged in line with other products from Kommerling.
