Glassex premiere for PremiLine
Kommerling, manufacturer of PVC-u extruded profile, is launching the new patio door product, PremiLine, at this year's Glassex exhibition.
The highly-engineered new product is an upgrade to the previous patio door system and is manufactured to Kommerling's environmental, lead-free 'greenline' standard Technical Director of Kommerling in the UK, Colin White, comments, "We have spent a considerable time researching the patio door markets and developing major improvements

"We have incorporated a range of technical features - the sliding sash can be inside or outside, the outer frame can be either fully welded or mechanically jointed and there are options for two, three or four panes.
The profile also comes with pre-installed glazing gaskets and weather seals.
"PremiLine is available in a wide range of colours (White, Golden Oak, Mahogany, Rosewood, Cream or Black), which helps it to stand out from its competitors, and special foils are available to order.
A choice of plain or sculptured glazing beads completes the options available to alter the appearance of the door".
Different options of outer frame are available, which means that fabricators can choose a patio door that reduces to a 70mm product, perfectly complementing the 70mm range.
Colin continues, "Installers will be pleased to hear that the room-side of the outer frame has a flush appearance for easy trimming off on installation and an alternative outer frame is available which can be mechanically jointed for straightforward on-site assembly.
"The door takes sealed units up to 28mm and the sashes on both the sliding and fixed doors are chamfered.
There is also an option for a low threshold." Thoroughly tested to the weather requirements of the UK and Irish markets, PremiLine runs on stainless steel tracks and can be fitted with most standard industry hardware.
A full length, full height, handle profile can be incorporated for additional rigidity, in high rise locations.
Kommerling will be launching other products at Glassex this year, including the silver grey PCE gasket.
