Kommerling greenest credentials

A Kommerling product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Apr 21, 2009

Kommerling claim to be one of the most environmentally conscious systems companies in the glazing industry in the UK.

Kommerling having been extruding their window and door systems using a lead-free Greenline compound for the last 5 years and have supported this more recently with the Recyline recycling initiative.

It's all part of a larger programme that's been implemented across Europe by parent company Profine in line with Vinyl 2010.

Vinyl 2010 is the European PVC industry commitment to sustainability and was set up in 2000 as a 10-year plan to enhance sustainability of its products and production over a full lifecycle.

This means improving production processes and products, investing in technology, minimising emissions and waste and boosting collection and recycling.

Kevin Warner, sales director of Kommerling comments: "Consumers are clearly aware of the 'green' issue and it's important for fabricators and installers to help satisfy the increasing demand for such environmentally sensitive products".

"We've taken a clear lead in the UK market with our Greenline compound and Recyline recycling initiative, as few other systems companies can make the same claim.
