Energy Savings Paramount For Islington
Energy-saving was the top priority for the London Borough of Islington when it was looking to replace windows at almost 1,000 apartments on two estates.
The partnering arrangements undertaken with Registered Social Landlord clients by Radway and its window system supplier, Kommerling, ensure that quality windows play an important role in giving residents a pleasant environment in which to live.
"The Government has embarked on a £22-billion programme over the next three years, covering housing, planning and the local environment and regeneration, which is only fully achievable through successful partnering." Radway is the UK's third largest commercial window fabricator, manufacturing windows solely for its own contract work, mainly for social housing, local education authorities and the Ministry of Defence.
At any one time the company manages between 30 and 40 large-scale contracts, each in the six or seven figure bracket.
