The Mediacity project initially required EnTech to design and commission a KNX intelligent building system for three BBC Buildings within the development.

This will give the BBC full control over the lighting throughout the buildings, offering significant savings on costs and energy.

EnTech has now been awarded the maintenance contract for Building C, which was completed in September 2009.

The contract involves remote monitoring, error reporting and a preventative maintenance plan to ensure the system is in the same state as it was on practical completion.

The maintenance contract runs over an 18 month period from March 2010 until August 2011.

EnTech's expertise has prompted development principals Peel Holdings and Bovis to move forward with KNX throughout Mediacity.

EnTech has secured the contract for the Studio Building, providing KNX presence/constant daylight control giving the ability to control all lights from a central location.

Automated emergency light testing, system administration reporting and interfacing to other building services are also included.
