Electrical conduit and cable management products
To complement the Kopex International range of electrical conduit and cable management products for hazardous areas, a new range of convertors, adaptors and reducers has been introduced.
The conduit has a stainless steel core with a cotton packed, black PVC covering.
The choice of coverings includes oil and chemical resistant as well as limited fire hazard, thereby allowing the conduit system to be installed in many highly demanding environments.
With its durability, strength, resilience and high versatility, it is an ideal choice where repeated flexing, vibrating and bending occur.
For Zone 1 explosive atmospheres, Kopex also provides the Barrier Gland including the stainless steel HC Explosion Proof Barrier Gland which has been designed for use in onerous areas where maintaining the integrity of the connector is paramount.
By forming a barrier between the individual insulated conductors, the gland prevents the ingress of gases and liquids.
The HC Gland is ideally suited for installations where flammable gases or vapours may be present, such as offshore and on-shore oil and gas installations, as well as chemical plants.
It also provides the necessary level of enclosure protection when conduit is to be laid under water.
