Electrical conduit and cable management products
To complement the Kopex International range of electrical conduit and cable management products for hazardous areas, a new range of convertors, adaptors and reducers has been introduced.
Manufactured from the specialist polymer PEEK, which has excellent mechanical, thermal and chemical properties, the range is available in basic form as a non-metallic flexible conduit.
It can be applied throughout the offshore, nuclear, MOD, petrochemical, heat treatment, aerospace and rail sectors.
For applications requiring high EMI screening, the 'PEEK' conduit is overbraided with a tinned copper sheath.
Alternatively, for applications demanding abuse resistance and high mechanical strength, a stainless steel overbraid is employed.
PEEK conduits meet the requirements of IEC61386 with operating temperatures of 45C to +250C.
In static applications the conduit can be used in temperatures down to -60Cto +3000C Properties include an extreme temperature range from -60 degrees C to +260 degrees C continuous operation, lowest smoke and toxicity of any thermoplastic, UL94 VO flammability rating, Best chemical resistance, London Underground (LUL) approval, FDA approval, radiation resistant (2000 Mrads), self extinguishing and availability in uncovered and braided versions.
