Electrical conduit and cable management products
To complement the Kopex International range of electrical conduit and cable management products for hazardous areas, a new range of convertors, adaptors and reducers has been introduced.
Highlights include the ATEX Flameproof Gland, which has now received IECEx certification.
Kopex is exhibiting in association with its exclusive UAE distributor Al-Hathboor.
Products supplied to the UAE are used for a variety of applications including commercial buildings, desalination plants, oil refineries and offshore rigs.
Kopex conduit systems have been successfully installed in some of the region's most prominent construction projects including Dubai International Airport, Emirates Towers, Jumeirah Beach Hotel and Residence, Sky Walk Towers, Down Town Centre in Sharjah.
The ATEX Flameproof Gland, for use with Liquid Tight flexible conduits, complies with the latest stringent regulations for products used in hazardous and harsh environments.
It has an operating temperature range between -60 degrees c to + 80 degrees c and is available in both brass and stainless steel.
Its new IECEx certification is an industry first and opens the door for specification of the product throughout the world.
Other key products to be highlighted at MEEE 2007 include LFH (Low Fire Hazard) conduit systems which meets several operating criteria in terms of its self-extinguishing capability, zero halogen, low smoke emission and its operating temperature index.
The Liquid Tight Range includes the Liquid Tight LTV-PVC flexible conduit which provides high protection against the ingress of water and dust when used with KF-C or KF-F connectors.
For use within a -25 degrees c to + 105 degrees c temperature range, LT-PVC is a helically wound, guaranteed steel core conduit with cotton packing and a PVC covering.
