Korenix publish Industrial PoE White Paper
The White Paper briefs PoE technology and discusses the concerns for practical PoE deployment especially in industrial environments.
The JetCon 2401 is a RS232/422/485 to fiber converter that transmits serial protocol over fiber media for data collection, industrial and security applications.
Fiber transmission extends the serial signals up to 40km (JetCon 2401-s single-mode) or up to 5km (JetCon 2401-m multi-mode) and provides a higher level of signal quality and security than copper cabling.
A fiber optic network link is immune to EMI, RFI, cross-talk, ground loops and other electrical problems, greatly enhancing the signal quality in severe environments.

Solar Energy with Korenix Serial Device Server
Solar energy can be used in a number of ways, saving money, increasing self-reliance, and reducing pollution.
Today's network infrastructure needs connectivity solutions that are reliable and scalable as well as secure and manageable.
Supports RS232/422/485 interfaces with Auto baud rate detection.
The converter provides connectivity between a wide variety of serial devices.
Connection to RS232 or RS422/485 interface, the unit is configured by an easily accessible DIP-switch on the side panel of the unit.
Integrated configurable terminators support the RS-422 and RS-485 operations, allowing the unit to be deployed at any node in the serial line.
The JetCon 2401 serial converters automatically detect the signal baud rate of the connected full-duplex serial device, ranging from 300 to 921,600 baud, and automatically adjust to changes in the connected device's baud rate during operation without reconfiguration or interruption of service.
Serial Fiber Ring to expand connected devices and distance.
The JetCon 2401 series supports two transmission configurations, Peer to Peer full duplex and Serial Fiber Ring half duplex.
In a pear-to-pear configuration, two fibers are required between the two converters, one for data in each direction (RX and TX).
To expand the number of connected serial devices and connection range, Serial Fiber Ring configuration requires one fiber between TX and RX to form a loop.
Each transmitter (TX port) is tied to the following converter's receiver (RX port), starting at a master node and continuing around to each slave and back to the master.
All data sent from the master or preceding slaves is echoed back out the fiber transmitter to the rest of the slaves and eventually back to the master node.
Robust protections for industrial applications.
The JetCon 2401 is designed to work in industrial operating temperature ranges from -20 to +70C.
This makes converter suitable for extreme applications such as traffic controls, outdoor SCADA installations, water treatment plants and power substations.
To meet industrial installation requirements, JetCon 2401 has terminal block connections for the serial signals and power input, two ST connectors for the fiber side, DIN Rail mount kit for installation.
The JetCon 2401 series also provides stronger safety protection with EMS Level 3, criterion performance A standard approval.
