one roof

National building envelope specialists Lakesmere has put in another winning performance following the successfully completion of cladding works at the new 02 Arena.
As the UK's largest installer of Kalzip aluminium standing seam, the Lakesmere team previously travelled to the Corus Building System's headquarters in Haydock, Merseyside to undertake the specialist training but by replicating the facilities offered by Kalzip, the company is now able to run full Corus Installer courses from its Glasgow base.
The recently completed in-house facilities are now operational and a dedicated training programme has now been put into place.
To date, over 40 Lakemere employees have successfully completed the practical and theoretical installation course.
David Gray, Glasgow's regional director said: " The new training centre is already proving to be a great asset, both in terms of helping to maintain the quality of service we offer our clients and the personal development of our staff".
"On a practical level, having such a facility on our doorstep has significantly improved the efficiency and accessibility of our training programmes and I'm sure that as more and more people complete the courses, the new centre will undoubtedly play a vital role in Lakesmere's future growth.".
