Hospital is picture of health thanks to
Lakesmere
As part of multi-million PFI scheme at Portsmouth's Queen Alexandria Hospital, Lakesmere has designed and installed the building envelope solution for the new Pathology and Rehabilitation buildings.
With the 'whole life costs' of the new buildings a priority, Lakesmere worked closely with main contractor Carillion to ensure that the envelope package comprised materials that required only minimum maintenance and combined durability with the attractive decorative finish desired by architects Building Design Partnership Such was the success of Lakesmere's integrated solution, which features Sotech Optima rainscreen, NBK terracotta cladding and, on the new Rehab building, a Kalzip aluminium roof, that much of the same specification has subsequently been used on the main hospital building
