FE Peacock United Health Bourne care home project

A Larkfleet Homes product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jun 16, 2009

FE Peacock has started building work on an 88 bedroom care home on land at Southfield Business Park in Bourne, Lincolnshire on behalf of United Health.

United Health is provider of a wide range of independent and supported care.

The home will provide personal and nursing care 24 hours a day for people who are bedridden, very frail or have a medical condition or illness that means they need regular attention from a nurse.

The home will also offer respite care - short term care for those who have had a stay in hospital or to give their full time carers a break.

Philip Pearson, chief executive of United Health , said: "There is an increasing requirement for facilities such as these which is not currently met in the area.

This new centre will provide independence for people in Bourne who need nursing care as well as peace of mind for their families.

"We have placed the building contract with FE Peacock because of its established reputation for high quality workmanship and prompt completion of work".

Karl Hick, managing director of FE Peacock, said: "This is an interesting and exciting project for us to work on.

We are currently expanding our activities in building for the healthcare sector and hope to work on more projects such as this in the future".
