Envirocheck launch two new services
Environmental consultants and engineers can now gain instant desk top access to critical data, thanks to two new services available as part of Landmark's innovative Envirocheck reports.
Launched today, the Landmark Library is a searchable tool that allows users to view 12,500 pages of previously unavailable Historical Trade Directories Using data compiled from Kelly's, Pigot's, White's Slater's and the Post Office, the Library contains occupier and trade details of potentially contaminative practices

Using the new tool, consultants will be able to browse, review and download non geo-rectified information and images with the added benefit of being able to filter searches so that they are street / trade specific.
Launched alongside the Landmark Library, is the Envirocheck Mining and Ground Stability report, which delivers instant access to over 1.8 million coal and non-coal mining and other ground stability data - crucial for contaminated land appraisals, ground investigations, remediation planning and foundation design.
The new report brings together for the first time a wide range of sources including Landmark's own unrivalled historical land use database, mining and instability data from Arup, natural and mining cavities data from Peter Brett Associates, plus six Geosure data sets from the British Geological Society.
In addition, the report allows consultants to access private archives, such as Wardell Armstrong's brine pumping data for Staffordshire and Droitwich, brine compensation areas and possible non-coal mining areas.
It also identifies man-made and man-used features, such as kilns, air raid shelters, sewers and military defences by drawing on information from the Subterranea Britannica society.
David Mole, Landmark Environment Managing Director, says: "The launch of these two new services marks another significant step forward in the continual development of Landmark's Envirocheck portfolio".
"It is crucial that consultants have access to accurate and detailed information in order to conduct effective site assessments".
"Landmark is committed to providing that all-important extra layer of detail".
The Landmark Library is still expanding and Landmark is keen to hear from any organisations who have data sets that could potentially form part of this new database.
