Sheerframe Partner, Radway, has designed, manufactured and installed pivots into tower blocks for the Birmingham City Decent Homes Framework Partnership.
The refurbishment work was undertaken to replace the existing 1950s/60s curtain walling, in order to enhance the thermal properties and improve the design and the overall appearance.
This Knowsley Housing Trust contract was awarded to Preston based MPH via Fusion 21, the purchasing consortium for seven-major North West based housing associations that was established in 2003, to assist them in attaining their Best Value objectives.
It is the first curtain-walling project that MPH has secured via Fusion 21 and follows their diversification into this specialist sector which complements their window programmes.

"We pride ourselves on our commitment to providing high quality homes for our customers and this is typical of the improvements we are bringing through our GBP 300 million regeneration programme."
