Glazing option within fire door and fixed light combinations for every budget with the new Sheerframe range from L.B.Plastics.

L.B.Plastics has successfully tested its Sheerframe composite door outerframe in combination with a glazed GRP composite door leaf and PVC sidelight to a BS476 Part 22 fire rating, offering greater versatility in the use of its PVC outerframe systems Test approvals cover the use of a broad range of sealed units from top end specialist fire resistant glass to cheaper sealed units using conventional cast and clear wired glass

Sheerframe product director David Strang says, "This is an excellent development which keeps us at the forefront of door outerframe technology.

We already supply PVC outerframe systems for numerous composite door manufacturers and we are pleased that we can now meet a range of fire performance standards for different door materials and importantly glazed sidelights to suit a variety of budgets.

"Our Sheerframe product range allows specifiers to choose outerframes and sidelights manufactured from high performance lead free PVC for all types of composite doors without any compromise on safety, security and aesthetics.

The Sheerframe range is an eco friendly alternative to the use of tropical hardwoods so often the norm in the manufacture of fire doors up to now.".
