German Timber Promotion Fund sponsors Best Sustainable Development category at prestigious Emirates Glass LEAF Awards 2008.

The German Timber Promotion Fund, the main marketing agency of the German forest and wood based industry, is lending its support to the Emirates Glass LEAF Awards 2008 by sponsoring the Best Sustainable Development category of the Awards which will be presented at a spectacular dinner at the Dorchester Hotel, London on 23 October.

Now in their fifth year, the Emirates Glass LEAF Awards have rapidly become the most prestigious worldwide architectural prize, recognising excellence in international architectural.

The Emirates Glass LEAF Awards 2008 are open to all companies, technologies and individuals that have made an outstanding contribution to the world of architecture, and who continue to set the benchmark for the buildings of tomorrow.

Among previous winners have been ARB Bank, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, America's Cup Foredeck Building, Valencia, Spain; The Canadian War Museum, Ottawa, Canada and The Green Building, Manchester, UK.
