TV celebrity to host Emirates Glass LEAF Awards

Renowned interior designer and TV celebrity Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen is set to host the prestigious Emirates Glass LEAF Awards 2008 ceremony at the Dorchester Hotel, London

The Emirates Glass LEAF Awards (23 October 2008), now in their fifth year, recognise excellence within the architectural and design fields, with architects from all over the world eligible to enter.

Former winners include: Quantas First Lounge Sydney, Australia, The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kansas, USA, ARB Bank, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and The Young Vic Theatre, London, England.

Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen, who will act as host and compere during the evening event, is one of the UK's foremost interior designers with TV credits including 'RHS Chelsea Flower Show', 'Changing Rooms', 'Design Rules', 'Fantasy Rooms' and 'To The Manor Bowen.

He also currently runs a successful interior design practice in Cirencester.

With hundreds of well known and up and coming architects from all over the world expected to attend this spectacular dinner, the awards will recognise categories including International Interior Design of the Year, Young Architect of the Year and Structural Design of the Year.

Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen said: "I am flattered and delighted to be involved with such a prominent event in the architectural and design calendar".
