Lafarge Roofing has already had to double-up its reprint of brochures for the tile-effect KAMI metal system, due to a hike in demand related to the growing problem of vandalism to community buildings "Unfortunately, roofing isn't escaping the attention of vandals at large in the community," said a Lafarge Roofing spokesman Kieron Hall

"It appears everyone in the supply chain is rethinking how to tackle the problem beyond putting up more CCTV security cameras".

Lafarge Roofing claims they are still being inundated with requests following three years of constantly rising sales, as local authorities and their construction partners get up to speed with all the options - some of which, like KAMI, resemble the look of traditional roof tiles.

KAMI is the BBA-certified system from the famous Redland range that is manufactured in large sheets instead of thin strips, for best performance against the worst weather, as well as criminal damage - and it is one of the few roofing materials used by HM Prison Service.

The new KAMI guide is packed with technical information to achieve the very best NBS-specification results, with advice on downloading CAD drawings directly from the internet.
