Disused car showroom in Leyton, east London, acquired by ASRA Greater London Housing Association in May last year, has made way for a development of new affordable homes for local people.
Cinema scheme a 'must see'
ASRA Greater London Housing Association has been told by Lewisham Borough Council it can commence building mixed tenure scheme on what was the old Electric Cinema site.
It has been established at a time when key organisations, such as the Audit Commission and Housing Corporation, are endorsing best practice in collective procurement working and supply chain partnering throughout the industry.
The partnership builds on an existing development alliance, the Quantum Consortium, of which four of the partners are members.
By fostering new relationships, CEPP members will develop the principles of collective procurement and look to deliver ten per cent cost savings on current partnering arrangements.
CEPP members will deliver £250 million of capital programme through the partnership by 2011.
Jason Cannon, LHA Head of Property Services, said: "The members of the consortium are committed to change and bringing about, within our own organisations and the group, new methodologies and cultures which will deliver long term improvements".
"It's all about adding value, reducing cost and improving performance".
The group has mapped out a forward plan to increase CEPP membership, and to deliver procurement changes over the next two years.
