From showroom to show home
Disused car showroom in Leyton, east London, acquired by ASRA Greater London Housing Association in May last year, has made way for a development of new affordable homes for local people.
John has over 25 years experience in the construction industry and previously worked as area development manager for an established Nottingham housing trust.
He said: "I will be dealing with major regeneration projects such as the proposed £50m, 470 home Stonebridge Park estate in Nottingham.
I live in Nottingham and I think my local knowledge of the area will help with this particular project".
Michele previously worked in LHA's Nottingham office as property services manager and started at the association in 1996.
She first worked in administration and, after gaining the appropriate building qualifications, moved quickly into her chosen field as property services officer and then manager.
She said: "My role will be to deliver small to medium size projects such as the upcoming £4.5m scheme for 58 homes in Warsop Vale working with Meden Valley Making Places".
Peter Harrison, LHA Head of Programme Delivery, added: "I welcome John and Michele to the team.
They both have the experience to really make a difference in driving forward some exciting new regeneration projects.
"These new positions will expand the programme delivery team but we are intending to advertise for more posts in the regeneration department very soon because of the sheer volume of regeneration and development work in which the LHA-ASRA group is now involved.".
